As part of our Engineering division, we are seeking a Subcontracting Technician to support the construction of an incineration plant for our client, a leading international company in the environmental, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

The role will provide technical and administrative support in the subcontracting and procurement process for engineering equipment and services (civil, mechanical, electrical, among others).

This position is based in Berlin, Germany.

RESPONSABILITIES

• Support the procurement process for industrial, civil, mechanical, and electrical equipment (pumps, compressors, motors, valves, instrumentation, etc.)

• Collect, organize, and perform initial technical and commercial evaluations of supplier and subcontractor proposals.

• Prepare and process purchase orders and contracts in the ERP system, ensuring proper documentation, traceability, and compliance.

• Review technical documentation and purchase requests, verifying adherence to project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Construction, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth integration of subcontracted services and equipment into the project schedule.

• Track and monitor progress of purchases and subcontracted services, reporting deviations, risks, or potential issues.

• Maintain supplier records and assist in vendor qualification and evaluation processes.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3–4 years of experience as a Subcontracting Technician, performing technical or industrial procurement and/or subcontracting support activities in this field.

• Previous experience in international projects or working with multinational suppliers will be highly valued.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

• Additional training in EPC project management, technical procurement, or contract administration is a plus.
