As part of our Engineering division, we are seeking a Local Procurement Technician – Germany to participate in an important industrial and energy project in Berlin, linked to the construction and development of a Waste-to-Energy plant.

The position will be focused on the local procurement of civil construction materials, equipment and services in Germany, working directly with German suppliers, distributors and subcontractors.

We are looking for a professional who knows the German construction and supplier market and has previous experience purchasing products and services related to civil works, construction, industrial buildings or infrastructure projects.

*THIS POSITION IS BASED IN BERLIN (GERMANY) AND REQUIRES PREVIOUS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT WITHIN THE GERMAN MARKET.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, source and develop local suppliers, distributors and subcontractors in Germany for civil works and construction requirements.

• Manage the procurement of civil construction materials, equipment, consumables and site services required by the project.

• Prepare and issue RFQs, collect quotations and analyse technical and commercial offers.

• Prepare bid comparisons and support the evaluation and selection of local suppliers and subcontractors.

• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms and commercial conditions with German vendors.

• Prepare, manage and follow up purchase orders, ensuring compliance with delivery dates and project requirements.

• Coordinate directly with suppliers and site teams to resolve procurement, delivery and supply-related issues.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education relevant to technical procurement and industrial projects.

• Additional training in technical procurement, supplier management, EPC projects or contract administration will be valued.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain in Germany.

• Proven experience managing German suppliers and vendors.

• Previous experience performing local procurement activities in Germany, preferably within industrial, energy, construction or EPC projects.

LANGUAGES

• German native or bilingual, required.

• Fluent professional English, required.
